Crossroads Sir Gâr
Crossroads Sir Gâr Ltd. is a registered charity (No. 1121666) with offices in Carmarthen & Llanelli. We are a network partner of the Carers Trust, the major national charity offering practical and emotional help to carers.
Our services are tailored to meet the needs of the individual Carer and their family, working alongside other local community services.
Carers Trust Carmarthenshire Crossroads is a specialist voluntary organisation providing support to Carers, giving them “time” to be themselves.
Carers Information Service
Carers say that access to information, financial support and breaks in caring are vital in helping them manage the impact of caring on their lives.
The Carers Information Service provides free and confidential information, advice and support to Carers.
We produce and distribute information for carers and organise regular events in partnership with other organisations.
The service is joint funded by Carmarthenshire County Council and Hywel Dda University Health Board.
These clubs are aimed at children and young people with additional needs and who are unable to access other holiday provision/mainstream clubs.
Carers Support Group Llanelli
An informal, relaxed and friendly group that brings together carers to meet others and make new friends. Former carers are also welcome.
The Llanelli Support Group is held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Carers Trust (Crossroads) Sir Gâr (The Palms, Llanelli SA15 2TH) at 1-3pm.
Yammer is an online network which brings carers together in a private, secure and restricted social networks site. The Carmarthenshire Carers Yammer group was set up and is administered by the Carers Information Service for carers within Carmarthenshire.
To join the Carmarthenshire Carers Yammer group, send an email with your contact details (name, address and telephone number) with ‘Yammer’ in the subject line to email@example.com. EXCELLENT IN EVERY RESPECT. The office staff are always helpful and approachable and ready to discuss out situation (e.g. if a visit should have to be cancelled by us at short notice or any reason).
I can only speak highly of every one of the ladies that have been here from Crossroads. Everyone is very kind and caring. I’m very grateful to them all for all their support.
Dad enjoys the carers staying in the afternoon. He has a few favourite ones, you can hear the laughter coming from his bedroom.
I know I can leave my mother in the safe hands of Crossroads staff giving me peace of mind while I am away.
