Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
Carers Trust Crossroads Sir Gâr continues with emergency planning in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to reassure carers and all staff that we are taking a number a practical steps to minimise the potential impact of this world-wide emergency on our services.
We are working closely with partners in the local authority and health and our commissioners and are following current guidance from Welsh and UK Governments. We continue to risk assess the situation and are working hard to ensure that our quality services can support those in need. Our priority is to ensure that carers and the people they care for along with our staff are safe and supported.
We would encourage carers to consider contingency planning and to strengthen personal networks now to include families, friends and neighbours so that they know who to call on if they need support.
For those currently in receipt of our care services, we can ensure you that all our staff have completed infection control training and are provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Infection control measures are in place across all of our organisation.
At present we are adapting to the change of circumstances to ensure that we can continue to provide safe level of services.
We request that any carers we are working with inform us immediately on 01267 220046 if they or anyone in their household is self-isolating. By informing us this will help us to continue our services to carers and vulnerable people in our communities.
Further updates will be provided when appropriate. If you have any queries about your service from Carers Trust Crossroads Sir Gâr, please contact our office on 01267 220046 or email info@carmarthenshirecarers.org.uk
