Most of us juggle busy lives, but if you also look after a relative or friend who is ill, frail or disabled, you probably find it extremely difficult to have a full life of your own. Crossroads can help.
Caring for others can be a challenging task. It can have an adverse impact on the carer’s life, such as having to give up their job and social life to support the person they’re caring for around the clock. Although many carers are able to access support services, many struggle alone without support.
We provide personal and replacement care for adults and children with an illness or disability; including physical disability, mental health, learning disability, dementia, Alzheimer’s and other conditions.
Our staff are fully trained in most aspects of practical care and are sensitive to the emotional aspects of caring. They love their work and their training and long experience means they can understand what carers and those they care for, need and feel. They know the simple things that matter, they do the hard jobs with a smile and they take pleasure in fitting into your life.
All staff members are fully trained in Manual Handling, First Aid, Health & Safety, Infection Control and Food Hygiene, and all have undergone an up-to-date enhanced DBS check.
We provide care and support to individuals in the community, allowing them to remain living in their own homes. With a tailored care plan based on the individual’s needs and with over 30 years of experience, carers can relax with peace of mind knowing that their loved one is being taken care of.
